Scent Club brings several nose-led activities together, giving you opportunities to discover what you and your dog enjoy.
Tracking: follow the trail
Watch your dog investigate a scent trail along the ground, working through the clues as they go.
You'll learn how to set up achievable tracks and support your dog without rushing them or steering them towards the answer.

Mantrailing: find the missing human
A person leaves a trail - and your dog uses their scent to help find them.
Mantrailing is a partnership: your dog does the searching while you learn to recognise their communication and handle the line thoughtfully.

Scent Detection: uncover the target
Introduce your dog to searching for a particular target scent and discovering where it is hidden.

What happens on a Scent Club Sunday?
Every other Sunday brings another opportunity to explore the world of scent.
Depending on the activity, you may find yourself following a trail, locating a hidden person, investigating target-scent hides or tackling crestive searching challenges.
Expect:

- practical opportunities to work with your dog
- guidance appropriate to your starting point
- time to observe, ask questions and learn
- breaks between searches
- plenty of discoveries to celebrate

Is Scent Club right for my dog?
Scent Club is for families who want to enjoy nose-led activities with their dog - not just people who want to compete.
Dogs of many breeds and backgrounds can enjoy scent work. However, the most suitable activity and setup will depend on your individual dog.
Please contact us before booking if your dog:
- is worried around unfamiliar people or dogs
- finds waiting or resting between runs difficult
- has a medical condition or mobility limitation
- is very young
- has specific handling or equipment needs
We'll help you choose an appropriate starting point and discuss what arrangements may be needed.
Scent Club is about working with the dog you have, not expecting them to become somebody else.

Price: £25 per session, per dog
Group size: No more than four dogs
Advance booking is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my dog need previous scent-work experience?
No. We'll work with each dog individually, meeting them where they are and ensuring activities match their ability.
Is scent work only for working breeds?
No. You don't need a particular breed to explore nose-led activities. We'll consider your dog's individual needs, confidence and suitability for the session.
Will we do every activity at every session?
Scent Club brings tracking, mantrailing, scent detection and scent games under one roof as a programme. The activities included on each date will be just one of those described.
Does my dog need perfect obedience?
No. Scent Club isn't an obedience test.
Your dog will need to be safely managed, but you don't need polished heelwork or a collection of formal commands to enjoy seraching together.
Can a nervous or reactive dog join?
Possibly, depending on the activity and session arrangements. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss your dog's needs honestly and choose an appropriate starting point.
What should we bring?
Your dog should wear a harness (no anti-pull harnesses please) and you should bring a variety of high-value food rewards for your dog. If you have one, a long-line between 5-10 meters long is recommended, however we can supply this if needed.
